Outtake #4

We knew this was a gem when we first saw it...but just too many "F" bombs for a "PG" rating on the festival circuit...Kyle is a natural comedian...who keeps on smiling even after 3 days and 50 grueling miles of splitboard mountaineering in the Glacier Peak Wilderness...he's preparing his fave backcountry dish...mac n cheese...yummmm

Music by Handful of Luvin'...one of the talented Northwest groups featured in FreeRider
Cameo appearance by the elusive Jason Hummel...with his Ford "Exploder"

World Premiere in France

Free Ride Film Festival

We are very excited and proud to announce that FreeRider is one of sixteen films selected to be screened at the 7th Annual International Free Ride Film Festival in St-Lary-Soulan, France on December 8-10. Kyle will be attending to introduce the film on the evening of December 9.

Outtake #3

There's some really awesome footage in this ... stuff that killed us to leave on the cutting room floor due to time constraints ... but it's totally cool that we can put it here now ... enjoy!

BTW ... Glacier Peak holds a special place in our hearts too. It's tough to get into these days, but well worth the effort. And we just happened to meet Kyle there for the first time on our climb in 2009 ... his smiling face and good spirits were a welcome relief after a long and tiring day.

Outtake #2

In our second outtake Kyle runs down some possible titles for the film during a rest stop on the way to Mt Stuart - #7 on his 10 highest peaks in Washington list for the season. Also featured on this cut is the musical debut of the multi-talented K.Miller.

FreeRider Poster

Thanks to Jason Hummel for the image of Kyle getting ready for his ride off the summit of Mt Shuksan, with Mt Baker in the background.

Outtake #1

Now that FreeRider is done and we're in the process of arranging for some venues to screen it, we thought it would be fun to put up some outtakes that didn't make the cut. In this first one Kyle is showing us some typical spring conditions here in the Cascades.

The short soundtrack is "Castles Made of Snow" by J Minus
